Chiropractic is a holistic healthcare profession – it looks at the greater picture of your health in order to understand your primary area of complaint.
The core value of chiropractic is in restoring optimal function to your central nervous system through direct adjustments to your spine, pelvis and cranium (skull) as well as other areas identified to be creating disturbance to this central system.
My focus is to use low force methods to restore and help maintain you in optimal health in a safe and natural manner which is appropriate for people of all ages and stages in life.
Using thorough explanations I look to help you understand your problem so that you are better able to care for yourself and support the healing process. With this experience you may also be able to recognise future problems as they arise.
In addition to corrective adjustments many people choose to check in periodically to maintain optimal function in areas of known prior damage such as old injuries, or for a comprehensive assessment to identify any new areas of interference in a preventative pro-active approach to health.
I primarily use Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT) as a diagnostic and therapeutic approach alongside others including Applied Kinesiology, Neuro Impulse Protocol and BEST. This diversity incorporates a number of skills applicable to spinal, pelvic and cranial faults as well as acknowledging extremity (limb) faults, muscular dysfunction and fascial distortions. I have done extensive post-graduate training in paediatric and pregnancy care as well as TMJD (jaw joint dysfunction) in addition to the techniques mentioned above.
