Last of the summer wine. Who didn’t love that?! Or was it just me?! Of course Compo was the jewel of the show, and his continual joie de vivre despite whatever circumstance they were in. It’s one example I often note when looking around me of how people are as they age. We can age well before our time, or some people are seemingly ageless. And it makes me think who I want to be when I’m 80 plus.
Chiropractic is a holistic healthcare profession – it looks at the greater picture of your health in order to understand your primary area of complaint.
The core value of chiropractic is in restoring optimal function to your central nervous system through direct adjustments to your spine, pelvis and cranium (skull) as well as other areas identified to be creating disturbance to this central system.
I primarily use Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT) as a diagnostic and therapeutic approach alongside others including Applied Kinesiology, Neuro Impulse Protocol and BEST. This diversity incorporates a number of skills applicable to spinal, pelvic and cranial faults as well as acknowledging extremity (limb) faults, muscular dysfunction and fascial distortions. I have done extensive post-graduate training in paediatric and pregnancy care as well as TMJD (jaw joint dysfunction) in addition to the techniques mentioned above.
Both my children and I having been seeing Clare for the last 11 years and we can’t recommend her highly enough. She has been seeing my children since they were very small, the youngest from as soon as she could walk, and her gentle manner immediately puts them at ease. Clare’s knowledge of how our bodies work is amazing and she is so intuitive to any issues we may have. My children pester me to make appointments and we believe that it’s as important for our wellbeing as going to the dentist. Jersey’s loss is Guernsey’s gain!
“I have been seeing Clare for coming up-to a year now and my body has never felt so in balance. I came to her with a knee problem and I’m now running pain-free with no recurrence of the problem.”
“It is simple to me – Clare gets results – her treatments continue to keep me moving freely, easily and pain-free – she even resolved issues that I was not aware of! I highly recommend Clare and her practice.”
“I have received treatment from Clare for a number of years for lower back pain having had a spinal fusion many years ago which reduces my lower back mobility and indirectly creates mis-alignment and pain. Clare is a skilful practitioner, I do not need to understand how sacro-occipital therapy works, only that it does, and that I have been thankful for the treatment on several occasions. Clare has always given sound advice and signposted me to other practices that will also strengthen my back. She is caring, knowledgeable and very professional. As a midwife, I have recommended pregnant women with pelvic girdle pain and newborn infants to Clare for her gentle and non-invasive treatment with excellent feedback. I would not hesitate to recommend her.”
“I have been a patient of Clare’s for around 10 years and have benefited positively from her approach, not only to the issue at hand but also on how to improve my general well-being, health and lifestyle in order to maintain a healthy spine. I trust Clare’s judgement and I have not been let down.”
“Simply put, everyone should have a Chiropractor like Clare. Absolutely brilliant.”
